[Shotimes] Stated Value Insurance

I just talked to Grundy about coverage on a 96 Z28 convertible. The
experience left me shaking my head about their customer service.
I too saw the tv interview and applied online. Nowhere online did they state
all the restrictions to cover a collector car. In my case the car was too
new, unless 4 or more later model collector cars were to be covered. Ok, I
can understand this. Otherwise I met their all their stated criteria.
Their problem is poor communication. after receiving a nice email reply
(form letter) stating a detailed application would arrive shortly in the
mail nothing happened. I called only to be quickly assured that the form was
in the mail. Another week went by so I called and insisted an update on the
situation. This time a snippy young lady, that apparently had better things
to do, looked me up. She informed me that one later model car was not
coverable by itself and promptly hung up on me. In the meantime I had waited
two weeks for this determination. I never did receive anything in the mail.
I would not expect Grundy claim service to be any better than the service I
received. I recommend avoiding them.
