[Shotimes] Stated Value Insurance

I finally went out to the Leland west site:

http://www.lelandwest.com/

They have a lot of good info on their site (and they're based out of Fresno,
George!). This is a company that is popular with the Porsche guys (and I've
also heard that the Ferrari clubs use them also).

You need to check around with various insurance companies. There are some
that specialize in this (Leland West is one that comes to mind), and rates
are reasonable, but there are a lot of restrictions. Things like a perfect
driving record, no claims, can't drive the car to work EVER, etc. A friend
of mine has his '68 Z28 covered with a Stated Value policy through AAA of
Michigan, but I never got the details.

Please post what ever your results are on getting this coverage. My agent is
telling me that you can only get it for SHOw cars. I take mine to the track,
and out for "fun" drives. Thanks
