Hello all,
I posted a couple of weeks ago about needing the grommet that sits in
the end of the cable shifter. Well, I decided to have one made up by a
local plastics machine shop. Actually, the piece I am having made will
be out of teflon. Any objections to this choice of material?
I am also having some new difficulties following the "trans rebuild' and
installation of a Southbend DX clutch, new TB and sleeve and Fidanza
flywhell. Now when the car is sitting in neutral it makes like a click
click click noise almost like gears are interfering a little. It comes
and goes. When the clutch is pressed in the noise goes away. The
mechanic and the trans shop said they would not look at the car util I
got a replacement part for the linkage. I can not imagine what the
linkage has to do with the noise in neutral.. The car is very difficult
to get into gear and sometimes only goes in half way and when you let
the clutch up it forces itself out of gear and grinds a little. Thoughts?
