Yep....I'm seeing that, too. The USAA adjuster came over Monday to look at it at
the shop in Sacramento. I called today to see what they would say. I knew it was a
total before this, but now they had the numbers broken down. Originally I was told
I had about $2300 I could expect towards repairs....anything above that was a total.
That number came over the phone the day after the accident. Today, even after
adding in the extras...the Wilwoods, the sound system, and the wheels and tires (the
adjuster noticed the tires and paint), the value was WAY down. I was originally
told that mileage over 100K was superfluous.

But because it has 263k miles, the out-the-door value, of which 70% is available for
collision repair, is $1950.....even with the upgrades. That's the bad news. The
good news is that the shop says it can replace the entire rear clip, both sides,
from the rear window back, in 50 hours. At $50/hr, that's $2500. Plus add rear
window removal and replacement (if necessary), and any incidentals, such as sealer,
primer, and whatever. It's going to be a lot less to fix (not including paint,
which will happen later on) than I thought. That's good. The suspension will be
swapped, and everything will be replaced back there except the decklid. The glass
may make it and it may not. We need to get a 4 wheel alignment reading before it
comes apart, as every time it is set to factory specs in the back (when rear-enders
are fixed), it starts eating tires.

It's time to drop the collision, and have a 'fix the SHOs' account (at least for
Lowrider). At least until I get the stated value thing figured out.

But it'll be fixed (soon, now), and it'll be fine. The RX should be out of the
shop Friday the 25th. (She's having withdrawl....the Slorider has no tunes!......so
am I, with no shifter and no clutch pedal!)

;-)
