O.K., - enough with the timing belt thread already!! :-)

Back to the ticking noise.  I just got done with my 60k service +.  I
now, as posted by someone else who hasn't even done the valve adjustment
yet, have a ticking noise that is driving me absolutely nuts!  It sounds
like a very muffled oozy machine gun at about 2500 rpm's, light
acceleration in 2nd gear especially.  I don't have an automotive
stethoscope, but is this normal?  After all this, I think I'm in spec on
the shims, but what else could it be?  I didn't do anything with the
timing chains.  I know this is kind of a ramble, but even turning the
stereo up doesn't help because I know the noise is still there!

Should I worry about this or just forget about it??
