Not THAT big of a deal. With the age & mileage, it is more common than no.
And IMHO not worth fixing unless you are already gonna be in there for a new
clutch.
Start using the Max Life oils. I've had the best luck with Castrol (stopped
my leaks for about 2K miles, then greatly diminished the leak for the next
1K until the oil change), second best was Valvoline Max Life. Pennzoil Max
Life (or whatever they call it) did nothing.

There is a oil seal called the rear main seal where the tranny and motor
connect. Actually where the tranny bolts up to the engine is where the
flywheel sits and behind that the rear main seal. This is a common oil
leak
point and is most likely where you oil is coming from. The
transmission,
flywheel, etc. must come out to replace this seal.
