I can't think of any black washer things, but I can think of the rivet that holds
the lock solenoid bracket to the inside of the door. That is right around there, or
maybe a little lower. Are you able (can you) take off the door panel to look at the
guts of the door? The lock solenoid is down at the very bottom of the lower half of
the door, as far back as you can go. It is black plastic and metal, with a rubber
boot over part of the actuator rod. If the rivet has fallen out, you can replace it
with a bolt.....I do that whenever I replace a solenoid.
(They're 10 bucks at the yard, and 95 new. I'd start collecting them if I were all
of you!! I've changed 3 or 4 already. Rear doors are HARD!!!! You have to remove
ALL of the window and latch linkage to get to them, because of the curve for the
wheelwell.)
That's what I'd bet it is....your solenoid has come loose from the door and has no
leverage to push and pull the button.
