You did not mention what year this Gen 3 is. With that kind of mileage, that
better be a '99, or at worst a '98. If it's older than that, $7,995 is
around $3K too high.
KBB value (Kelley Blue Book) is in la-la land, and does NOT represent
reality for purchase prices. KBB is the value you use when you are trying to
get a settlement from an insurance company!!
I'm guessing the car is a '97 (most common Gen 3). With the mileage, and the
damage, you can pick up a similar car for $5K or less. A lower mileage '97
with no damage would be $6K or a little better.

Subject: [Shotimes] Gen3 SHO Questions
I Recently came across a nice black gen 3 on a dealers lot its got 75k miles
on it and there asking 7995,after being at 10995 on there lot for a couple
months. It needs minor body work, the lower driver side ground effect needs
paint and theres this ugly tan pinstripe that would have to go. but my main
question is where is the closest place to get the cams welded im located on
the illinois/wisconsin border and how much would it cost. I looked up the
kbb value and its valued at 9 but im still gonna try and talk him down to 6
something. thanks -James Mullen
