The SHOtimes site mentions one way to lower the front and rear ends is to
move the struts lower in their respective spindles by loosening the pinch
bolt.
I lowered the front of my '97 SHO about 7/8" using this method, and it gave
the car the stance I was looking for (very subtle negative rake).
I was going to do the same thing to my '93... but I noticed that part of the
strut (where the spring sits) sticks out over the tire and has less than
3/8" inch vertical clearance. I'm running 215/60/R16 tires original
motorcraft struts.
Has anyone else successfully been able to lower their Gen-II in this manner?
I also noticed that the rear tires and struts have the same clearance issue
but I'm not too worried about lowering that end of the car since the sagging
springs have taken care of that :)
