[Shotimes] rod bearings

Symptoms described are exactly what I'm hearing. Only between 2-3000+
RPM's do I hear it. I think "Light Throttle" is the key here. And,
it's what has been driving me almost to insanity, until all of your
input and Josh S's ear on it.

4,5,6000 RPM's - sounds great. Going down the road at 30MPH and barely
stepping on it to stay at speed, yet hearing this muffled machine gun
under the hood - enough to drive a guy crazy. Especially one like me
who doesn't know too much about cars but can still hear this! And know
it's not right.

Hopefully, caught it in time and can fix.

Thanks again and talk to you all soon.

Mine got to the point it didn't matter. Heavy load, no load, light
throttle,
heavy throttle, whatever......that sucker made the same sound!

Mark N describe the knock conditions perfectly. It would knock the
worst
not at acceleration nor at deceleration but at the point in between when
you
use light throttle to maintain speed.
