Also, on the superspeedways, they run WOT most of the way around the track and don't brake much at all. On short tracks they go all out then stand on the brakes approaching the turns. They use bigger brakes on the short tracks and smaller setups on the superspeedways. -Ron

laps wide open with the restrictor plate motor and get rid of as much drag
as possible. That and they run small calipers and thin rotors (at the rear)
