If the rear brakes are the vented rotor style, and you have ABS, I would
buy the plugs and be rid of that POS.

I think you are referring to the pressure metering valve, or rear
proportioning valve. I have seen it referred to as both in my travels.

parts network has it for about 120, but I'd be willing to bet Al Fitz
has
one or two lying around for a better price. Go to Alfitz.com and send
him a
parts request.
Just to clarify: You are referring to the block that is mounted to the
bottom of the trunk and collects brake fluid from the hard lines from
the
front and redistributes it to each of the rear calipers, correct?
