[Shotimes] WAY OT: My brain has imploded

I just spent way too much time looking around at this site, in fact I now 
have a bad headache. Is it me or is there a marked difference between the 
ricer racer crowd and forums like this one? I've always noticed that this 
has been a great technical resource, and is populated by intelligent people 
who turn the wrench on their own cars - for fun no less! Obviously, we all 
have some ideals as to things that would make our cars better looking as 
they age, or to put our own "signature" to a car that has become a 
disturbing fixation/hobby/mad scientist project BUT

The whole Honda Acura emphasis just seems to be very bubble gum to me - I'm 
not even sure what I'm trying to say by that- it just seems like spending 
money for  spending money's sake, carbon fiber this, nasty interior mod 
that, a nitrous bottle in every backseat, stereos and subwoofers that eat 
all of the usable trunk space, NEON ?, Fast and Furious wannabees who are 
spending Mom and Dad's money flaming each other, the whole cosmetic 
concentration and focus.

Essentially, the whole attitude that VTEC is some kind of amazing 
entitlement to bragging rights or something. When of course everyone here 
knows that SHO is. :)

Perhaps I'm just becoming a grumpy old man, thanks I just needed to vent...
