[Shotimes] OT - Win a ricer!

Yeah, I suspect that something gets lost in the translation to English!!!

Much like the Chinese-to-English translations!! The latest was the personal
battery-powered fan that I got in a golf tournament: "Batteries fixing: if
power turns weak, please change new batteries"

Nokian Tyres was spun off from Nokia(cell phones, toilet paper, etc) in
1995.

That is the strangest site I've seen lately...

As an addendum to this....the company is really Nokian, and the tire is the
Hakkapeliitta. Check out their website, it's "different":

http://www.nokiantyres.com/

On Google, they show both Nokia and Nokian as the mfr, as well as two
spellings of the tire (one or two "T"s).

Hope you were all paying attention.....this is your lesson in useless
information today!!!!

Although, I understand that these are great winter tires.....and the Finnish
should know how to make winter tires!!

Guess I don't get the joke........as in why Hankook is any stranger of a
name than many others out there.

BTW, Discount Tires carries Hankook. The stranger name, IMHO, is the Finnish
winter tire made by Nokia, the Hakkapeliita. Reputed to be the best winter
tire made.

Ya, I saw them as sponsers of something-or-another on TV a while ago.
"Hankook".

Now, I'm sure Mr. Hankook is an honerable patriarch, but SOMEONE should have
had the stones to say in one of the first mgmt meatings at Hankook USA, Inc.
"Ahem! We're gonna get ridiculed for generations here with a name like
that. Do you KNOW what a kook is here?"

  Koll
Wish one of my competitors had a name like "Hankook"!
