Ron,
Did you mean to say 16x7?  A 16x8 is perfect for a 245 tire.   Increasing
the tread W 10cm doesn't need to have a 2" increase in the rim width.  A 7"
rim would be fine for 225, been so on my SHO for 6 years now.

He only thing that's too narrow about using 225/55s is the rim. Put
225/55/16s on a 16x8" rim, and it's all the tire that the SHO needs.

I'm poor so I'm stuck with 225/55-16.  I think these are way too narrow for
our type of car.  I can't understand an Accord with 185's.
