I wonder if these guys know what they are talking about:

"The big one, the 60K service involves checking the jewel-like SHO
engines valve adjustment. That means removing the camshafts to access the
bucket tappet-and-shim valvetrain, which in turn means stripping the 3.0
V-6 down to its boxers as the intake manifold, valve covers, cams, and a
zillion related small parts come off."

Or did Vadim tell them the cams had to come off and it would cost an extra
$500   :-)
