[Shotimes] Redline MTL still the fluid of choice for an MTX

To go way back into the past, Redline MTL was the fluid of choice for the
original brass synchro boxes (well, those were the only boxes there were in
the beginning!!). Redline MTL works wonderfully in them any time of the
year.

Then, when the composite ("paper") synchros came out, folks tried MTL and
has shifting problems. Upon the discovery of the composite synchros and the
new ATF fluid requirement, it seems that D4 is what works with the newer
boxes, or an older box that has been rebuilt with the newer parts.

For an original '89-'90 tranny,I would stay with the MTL, based on the
excellent luck I had with it for many years.

IIRC, Mike Courtney used to advise MTL for summer-only cars and D-4 for
year-round drivers.

My son and I both use Redline D-4 in out MTX trannies. I think there is a
discussion of this somewhere on the FAQ. It may be on the Redline site.
I'm not sure. Seems that it has something to do with climate, but I may be
having a "senior moment".
