I followed Carl's recommendation using the JL 6W0, 8 ohm speaker. However, I
didn't use the adapter ring so there's a ~1.5" gap between the speaker and
package tray shelf. Custom Sounds in St. Louis ordered in the speaker for me
for $86. Good sound quality and volume.

Custom Sounds uses this speaker often to repair Ford high end sound systems.
