When approaching a stop, you will not be giving it gas so the pistons/rods will not be putting much pressure on the bearings. When starting out, at least you are in a low gear. I would still be a bit concerned if your light comes on. Then again, my SHO seems to idle on the high side (~950.)

Every once in a while I catch myself not giving enough gas when starting
from stop. I can make the light come on that way. Also when coming to a
stop if I don't engage the clutch. In both cases the RPMs drop below
idle. Hopefully doing this won't cause too much damage.
