I have heard tell of removing hail and parking lot damage using liquid
nitrogen to contract the metal and pop the dents out. A guy I used to know
owned a body shop and told me about this method about 10 years ago.
According to him, as long as the paint isn't broken in or around the dent it
will pop out without a trace. It wouldn't hurt to call around to different
body shops and ask some questions.

Subject: [Shotimes] Hail damage
This is my first post on the list but I have been a quiet observer for a
long time.
Some of you will remember my white 90 from this years convention, it won
gold in the gen 1 modified class and got many positive feedbacks on it.
On tuesday a large storm passed by or cabin and unfortunatly since we have
no garage I could only watch the damage take place. Every single panal has
been dented by golfball sized hail, the trunk/hood/roof are the worst.
Even the window moldings are dented and need to be replaced. I have been
talking to my insurance company and got my car appraised today. He said
that the damage was about 6300 cdn (guessing on repair time and parts from
ford), and that this was going to be really close to the value of my car.
He is currently doing research on it trying to find what the value would be.
I might have acces to a hood and trunklid from a parts 89 and that should
bring the cost down somewhat. Does anybody have anysuggestions on how I can
deal with the possiblity of it being totaled and dealing with the insurance.
part two, this may be a little early to start asking this question, but what
is the best way to get the panals fixed. One of the local SVTOA-alberta
guys owns a PDR shop and has been doing this for over ten years. He said he
should be able to fix it. But what about getting it filled/sanded/painted?
He also told me that the window trim has been discontinued....are there any
sources
Thanks
