No I have a mix-match system. I have a '90 with an imported system. The
silver amp is newly acquired from a '94. I don't have the big in-box
sub-woofer.

The JBL system I have has two amps; one is silver, and one is black. The
main (black) amp has power going in (left side words up) but I can't get
my test light to light on the out (right) side. Does this necessarily
mean that the amp is bad? I'm not getting any sound from any speaker. I
have checked all the connections back there and everything has power
except the speakers and the right side connector of the main amp.

sounds like you have a 96. Do you have a subwoofer in the center of the
package tray??
