Okay, Jacob, you've got a job ahead of you. You'll have to move the dash
aft about a foot or so. The bad news is that it may take 1-4 days,
depending on how fast you move. The good news is, it's not rocket science.
Providing you carefully bag and mark every screw, bolt, and nut that you
remove in the process, and get them all back on in the return process, you
should come out without a huge bill or a hospital stay. (Ask George Fourchy
about those consequences.) Follow the directions in the Helm manual and ask
us any questions left over. Take your time, be methodical, and you'll be
okay.
Speedo cable disconnects. Center console comes out. I recommend pulling
the passenger seat. The steering wheel stays on the shaft, you'll be glad
to hear.
Let us know if you need any help. If you approach this job in a healthy
spirit, there can be an upside: It is a great chance to learn about
internal systems. Like all valuable educations, the tuition may feel high
at the time of graduation. ;-)

Yeah, I've ran that test already and that's where I got the blend door code
from. It is code 02.

The blend-door MOTOR is mounted on top of the heater box, where the blend
door pivots. It's a black box about the size of a box of cigarettes.
Its job is to accept open/shut commands from the EATC head unit, and to
report blend-door position back to EATC. If the blend-door motor fails, you
have to pull the dash to replace it.
