[Shotimes] Blend Door Motor

The bad blend door on my former '95 had a bad sensor, so the door just kept
clicking back & forth trying to find the right spot, and in the meantime I
had no heat in the winter. I know that others have had either the gears or
the motor fail. IIRC, the dealer replaced it with a part that was around
$40-50, but I no longer have the old part nor the parts box.
This is a piece like the heater core or throwout bearing. Cheap
part......expensive to replace.

Subject: [Shotimes] Blend Door Motor
Alright, I got the dang thing out and opened it up. From the looks of
the gears, I'd have to say that the motor is just burned out. The blend
door itself is not stuck, and moves freely by just a slight push. So I
went to the local dealer yesterday and the lady at the parts counter
rattled off something about $70 or so and of course 2 weeks to get it
here. Got the part number and brought it home to look it up for myself.
No body has one that I can find. Part number is F0DZ 19E616-A. I think I
located the Motorcraft equivalent, Damper Door Switch, P/N YH-1447.
O'Reilly's can't tell me if they can get it until Monday.
Just an update for all of you that gave me advice. Thanks for the help.
