With all this talk about discontinued new oil pumps and of the car hobby
rebuilding similar style old AMC and Buick oil pumps, why can't we do
the same? I am willing to investigate getting our old oil pumps properly
rebuilt.

If someone has an old oil pump that they would be willing to "donate" to
the list, I'll take it to a friend of mine who is willing to see if he
can "engineer" a kit for it.

He is an old Buick fan, and his machine shop does 70-100 high
performance engine rebuilds a year. He loves challenges like this!

P.S. He built the motors for the 9 (or 8) second National record holding
turbo V-6 Buick Grand National a few years back. At 1100 Hp and above it
used to pull the main webs out of the Buick race block til he
"re-engineered" the oiling system.
