[Shotimes] Aftermarket Rack and Pinion

I don't know why anyone in their right mind would buy a subwoofer or anything else from Ford when there are so many aftermarket things available, especially when it comes to gaskets, audio and such.  Not claiming to be an expert on such things but I got a 200 watt, 4 ohm 6 = sub from Bazooka at a local audio place for sixty bucks.  Everything else audio is at Cruthfield.com or best buy, circuit city, choose your poison.  But I digress....
The real reason for this post is: does anyone have any experience with the rack and pinion system sold at Autozone from Atsco? or any other source for that matter?
