Damn, wish I could make this, as his is my favorite track of all the ones
I've run!

Info is below, and at the TracQuest website.

Spots are still open at the TracQuest event at Mid-Ohio on
Labor Day and the following Tuesday, Sept. 1-2. What a great way to
spend Labor Day, at one of the best race tracks in the country, as well
as one of the hardest to get on! TracQuest events are well
known for tons of high quality, low traffic track time, having only
rules that are necessary to ensure safety and fun for everyone and great
instruction, food, wine, people and camaraderie.

Because TracQuest events are much smaller than most marque-related club
events, you'll get tons of track time - 5 to 8 hours
over the course of both days. Continental breakfast and a hot gourmet
lunch (as gourmet as I can get at Mid-Ohio, but they actually do a
really good job) are provided and there's a great optional banquet on
Monday night at The White Fence Inn (a terrific Bed & Breakfast 1/2 mile
from the track, for those not familiar with it). All makes of cars are
welcome at and regularly attend TracQuest events, so you'll get
to run with a wide variety of cars including Porsches (usually the
majority), Ferraris, BMW's, Audis, Corvettes, Vipers, RX-7s and many
more. You can participate on one or both days. Also, I allow
non-participant passengers (free of charge), so if you have friends who
you've always wanted to take out for a ride at Mid-Ohio, this would be
an excellent opportunity.

If you're an instructor, pay very close attention! As many of you know,
at TracQuest events, instructors pay 1/2 price unless they
refer at least one paying participant, in which case they run from free.
While I still need more participants for this event, I also need more
instructors. Therefore, I am waiving the referral requirement for this
event, and all instructors will run for free. If you are already signed
up to instruct at Mid-Ohio and paid a fee, it will be refunded to you.

Instructors have their own run group with open passing (anywhere with or
without a signal, although I always want to see a signal unless there's
a good reason for not giving one). You can likewise instruct on one or
both days, although if you can only come for one day, Monday (Labor Day)
is the more critical day because it's the first day of the event.

Information about the event and on-line registration are available on
the TracQuest web site at www.tracquest.com. If you're an instructor,
in the "qualifying participant" box on the instructor entry form, just
put "none required." If you have any questions, feel free to send me an
email. Also, if you know of other qualified instructors who might like
to attend, please have them sign up or contact me right away with any
questions they may have.

I hope to see you at Mid-Ohio!
