Back during the Convention, there was some interest from out-of-state folks
to come out to Lapeer Dragway and give it a try on the Saturday Test-n-Tune.
With Fall approaching, I just thought that I would throw out a possibility
and see what the interest may be.

Part of the reason for doing it in Fall is to get some of the nice, cool
Michigan weather. Most strips close by the end of October, but Lapeer stays
open until around December 15th, weather permitting.

The considerations would be either Saturday October 25th (yeah, I'll have to
sell my Michigan - Purdue tickets!!), Saturday November 1st, or Saturday
November 8th.

I will recommend Saturday October 25th.

This is for a specific reason. One of the reasons that we run at Lapeer is
that getting 20-30 runs in in very easy, and you could do 50 runs if you
wanted to keep running all afternoon! I have checked Milan Dragway's
schedule and the weekend of October 25-26 is their final weekend (I thought
that they would be running through the weekend of 11/1-11/2). After Milan
closes, Lapeer starts to get some of the Milan racers, so it gets a bit more
crowded. We could then have November 1st or the 8th as a fall-back day in
case of bad weather on the 25th.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may still be interested in Lapeer
this Fall (especially from the out-of-state folks).
