 Yes. The computer/controller tells the ABS valve body what to do. I doubt
you have a physical block. Probably one of the valves are not operating. You
can try the ABS bleeding from the dealer but the ABS valve body might have a
corroded circuit board preventing the valve from getting the proper power.
No the lines are not opened when bleeding the ABS. What the dealer has that
we don't is a box that will operate the ABS pump independently. This pumps
the fluid from the ABS accumulator into the rest of the system. So after the
ABS is bled you then need to do a conventional bleeding to remove the old
contaminated fluid.
