Why is it that people want to sell their cars AFTER they've done all of the
work to get them right? If you buy another used car, you could be going
through the same grief to get that car into shape!! 

You didn't list what you've had done, but if it was the "typical"
maintenance stuff that needs to be done to a 9-year-old 100K-mile car, you
should be good to go for awhile. Things like oil changes are routine for
every 3K miles, and there are things that are routine at 100K. Many people
don't understand that a lot of this stuff becomes "normal" for a car of this
age & mileage.

I think that you chances of getting $5K for a '94 ATX with over 100K miles
are very slim. Maybe $3K on a $3,500 asking price, assuming the car looks
and drives very well. FWIW, I sold my '95 MTX with 93K miles for $3,400 last
May, and bought this '94 MTX with 168K miles (and it's in as good a shape as
many SHOs with half the mileage) for $2,700. Note that these were MTXs,
which do have more desirability among used SHO buyers.

This may be a stupid question but a friend of mine told me to look into it 
anyway. I'm thinking of selling my SHO. with school starting back up again 
and Satan (my car) being herself, i dont see myself being able to go through

what i did last year, which was hell. I've had my SHO since march of last 
year and  have put $9000 worth of work into my car. granted alot of it was 
mechanic labor charges but it still has new parts on a number of things. 
soooooooo.......my question is what do you think my chances are for getting 
atleast $5000 for my car? the milege is 109257, i'm replacing my idler 
pulley tomorrow. it just got an oil change and a new timing belt not too 
long ago. the cd player doesnt work and neither does the sunroof, but all 
that needs is a new switch, which will be fixed before selling. any input 
would be greatly appreciated. thank you :)
