I tried to do a valve adjustment last night on my 93 MTX with 130,9?? miles on it. I checked the gap on the intake and exhaust on the right (closest to front of car) head. I was not sure if I done it right, so correct me, or send me to the right place if this has been discused before. The gap on the exhaust, from L to R, was .013, .014, .014, .014, .012, .013. The shim sizes were L to R, was 2550, 2550, 2525, 2550, 2500, 2500. The intake gap was L to R, .009, .010, .010, .010, .010, .010.I did not check the shims for the intake side, the bugs under my fluorescent light were TERRIBLE.I was wondering what I should do to make up for this to get it into specs. The feeler gauge would slide under on one size, the other size up would not slide under, so I went with the one that would not slide under for the spec for that gap size. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, as I am fairly new to the list.
