No I do not have an oil-pressure gauge yet. However I have a lovely
A-pillar pod ; ) and gauges waiting.

Car had rod bearings about 5K ago. This summer I've been running 10W50.

I will report back once I get oil-pressure readings.

Initial thought.

Do you have an oil pressure gauge? Could be the pump wearing out. What oil
do you run? If it's 5w-30, try a heavier base oil (10w-30), or add a can of
STP-type stuff if you recently changed the oil.

"Dirty" valves won't clatter when hot.
