[Shotimes] Passenger side half-shaft question

Jon Zane will appreciate this one.  For a long time I've experienced a
vibration problem at high speed that wasn't cured by wheel balancing. 
Most of the hardware has been replaced in the front-end, including the
driver's side half-shaft.

While I had the car on jack stands with the wheels still on, I locked the
driver's side front wheel and applied the e-brake.  Then ran the car in
second gear and observed the rotation of the passenger-side wheel.  I
pointed a flashlight at the axle, and I can see a definite wobble and a
slight hop in the wheel.

Time to replace the axle, right?  In other words, I assume an out of
balance tire won't cause the axle to wobble...
