[Shotimes] Sr 72 weight

I am not familiar with the Taurus power window setup versus the SLO crank
setup, but back in the early '80s, the GM power window setup weighed LESS
than the manual crank assembly, as they went to a lighter motor and "belt"
type drive.

Could be that this is the same for the SHO????

Of course, going to Lexan windows with a strap-and-peg setup is lighter
yet!!

I would leave the wipers in, though. You may not need the defroster on a
track down there, but wipers may come in very handy!!

Finally got around to weighing my Sr 72 raced Prepped 89 SHO.

Just the car, it tips the scale at 2898 w/ a qtr of gas.

I have the 96 brakes .. race seat in it .. and almost everything gutted
u can think of . Complete dash is there with only the speedo/tack
clutster. The heater core and blower motor assembly all gone.

In another SHO I gutted .. i took out the windsheild motor and washer ..
the windshield blades and arms.

I havent removed any pwr door locks or window motors and still have my e
brake that i could disconnect and remove the whole pedal too.

Also .. plan on putting lexon plastic in as well.

If I went further .. I would think I could get another 100 pds ...
possibly more.

AM aiming for something in the 2600 pds .. wonder if it is possible ..
or another 250 pds .. dont think so

Any suggestions on anything that I have might have missed ... that I
could remove but havent ??
