[Shotimes] MAP sensor?

The 95 MTX still uses a BAO sensor. Ford used an off-the-shelf MAP sensor
and left the input open to the atmosphere. It is used to sense atmospheric
pressure to adjust for, among other things, altitude.

It can be unplugged for diagnostic purposes. You will get a CEL, but the
PCM will substitute default values to use in its place. If the symptoms are
relieved by disconnecting it, the sensor is likely suspect.
