Mine started doing something similar while I was at the convention in Madison. It was a few months after I replaced the fuel pump. Makes the moaning/gurgling sound when I turn the key on, lasts for a few seconds. If I turn the key off and on again, it repeats. It does it when the car is warm but has been sitting for more than about 10 minutes. I was told basically that I don't need to worry about it til I replace the pump again. I think it has to do with the drainback valve, which is in the assembly that the pump attatches to.
Question for everyone: If you get the replacement pump from Ford, does it come with the whole assembly? The Walbro pump comes as just the pump. Can I get just the other part by itself from Ford, or only with the pump?

Yeah, its a new sound, I suspect it is doing the same thing as yours was.
At least it lasted awhile before it died; maybe I can get a couple more
months until I get a chance to change it.
