[Shotimes] Subframe bushings => Lower Front End?

Has anyone tried lowering the front end a bit by machining a set of Al 
subframe bushings that position the subframe a little higher? Not sure how 
far you could go with that, maybe 3/8" max?

I'm getting a set of ASBs, and I have access to a lathe at work.... just 
thinking out loud.
