This particular shops primary business is Taxicabs anyways, but after the
dealer issue I was just trying to get it done.
The mechanic I spoke of does fine with anything else I ever saw him need to
work on, he just said he wasn't working on a SHO engine, he primarily works
on RWD V8's, Crown Vic's, Mercury Grand Marquis, and most any minivans. I
have had brake work and misc other things done there that I was just too
lazy to do in the driveway at home. I actually have no issues with his
abilities, or his opinion about working on a SHO, alot of people do not work
on them.
I guess being head mechanic of a 2 mechanic operation is nothing more than a
title anyways. In my opinion the other guy is only qualified to change oil,
so I wasn't about to let him near it.
The point was that ALOT of shops will not worka SHO.
