[Shotimes] Oil data chart - additional info

FWIW, in none of the data that Steve or Don have presented have I seen
Kendall GT oil.
Neither here nor there, as none of this data will alter my opinion of the
oils I use one bit, but I am curious as to the lack of Kendall data. Kendall
is still an oil-of-choice for many (as in 12 fresh quarts of it in the dry
sump system on the 911).

Steve,
There is a brand new flyer out from Amsoil that lists the
latest API comparative testing.
Basically, in all but one test, Amsoil beats all oils in the
test in all categories: Thin Film Oxygen Uptake, High
temp/high shear, NOACK Volatility, Pour Point (cold), Total
Base Number, Cold Crank Simulation, and Four Ball Wear test.
The oils tested were all 10W-30:
Amsoil ATM synthetic
Castrol GTX Drive Hard
Valvoline Synpower synthetic
Mobil Drive Clean
Pennzoil with Purebase
Quaker State Synthetic
Quaker State Peak Perf.
Castol Syntech synthetic
Valvoline
Pennzoil synthetic
Mobil 1 Super Syn multi vehicle synthetic.
(synthetic oils indicated, others are Petroleum based).
The only oil that beat Amsoil in one test was Pennzoil
synthetic in the cold crank simulator where Pennzoil was
3538 CCS Viscosity and Amsoil was 3590 (lower number is
better). Next best oil was Mobil 1 Super Syn at 3967 with
the worst at 6458 (plain Valvoline) (over 7000 fails the API
test)
There was no clear 2nd place winner, and Amsoil beat the
others clearly in all but that one test. Pretty impressive.
