He then got the Lemon Law on that first Land Rover (forget the model), and
he now has another Land Rover model....the bigger one (I forget the
models....Discovery, Freelander, whatever).
The basic fact is.....don't ever by a vehicle that June has owned!!

He wasn't racing anyone. We were driving a bit spiritedly through an
s-curve, me in my buddy's '96, in front of June in his '99, in front of a
'95 ATX. There were flurries, but there was no accumulation on the road.
June lost the back end, couldn't get it corrected, and plowed through a
split-rail fence. The guy in the '95 ATX shat himself as he also lost
control (although I think he front-end plowed) and ended up on the opposite
side of the road.
FYI, June went from the '99 TR SHO to a brand new Crown Vic. He sold that
to his dad and bought a '95 MTX (which wasn't the nicest example of one).
He then graduated to a brand new Cobra, which he considered to be a lemon
after having a couple of annoying problems. So he traded that in on a brand
new Lightning. He decided he was tired of driving an automatic, so he
traded the Lightning in on the S2000. After owning that and realizing he
didn't fit inside very well, he traded it in on a Land Rover (the little
one).
I haven't heard from him in quite some time, although I think he still posts
on the S2KI board once in awhile.
Shame to see a wooden split-rail fence cause $15k in damage to a beautiful
SHO valued at only $15k.
If anyone wants to see one of the pictures of the aftermath of this
incident, here you go:

I've never felt so sick as when I went back and saw how close that wooden
rail was to taking off his head. Easily within inches, as it grazed the
side of his headrest before it shot through the back windshield.
Bad day for a 20-year old kid. Friends don't let friends buy 29mm RSB's ;^)
