[Shotimes] New engine for 92 MTX SHO

I already stated that. Old news. Now, tell me, are the SHO motors they are
rebuilding costing them a lot more than the 302, or are they getting them as
part of an exchange program, just like their other motors? Production cost
differences deleted, thank you very much. Now, do the parts and labor to
rebuild a 3.0 or 3.2 cost 60% more than a performance built 302 with almost
all new, aftermarket and Motorsports parts? I think not even remotely close.
That's absolutely a rip-off. For less than $1k you can acquire a j/y motor,
have the crank bearings replaced, and have the shims gapped (What else do
you really need for these motors?) Probably throw in a water pump and crank
sensor, too (Haven't checked prices lately, but close enough to count). Of
course, they do a lot more than just install bearings and regap, but my
point is that the price does not justify the work. They are taking advantage
of the fact that the motor is no longer available and was produced in low
quantities to jack up the price, plain and simple.
