I agree ... RENT.
I live just East of you in Oshkosh, Joseph, and we got blizzard conditions.
I would think that I-94 is heavily salted.  Rent a Ford 4x4.  Then
re-coupe the rental $$ by towing someone out of a ditch.

Then tell Courtney he has some fixing to do.
