Did you just say "au contraire" to the Frenchman?  Mon frere, what's up
with that ;^)

It may have been considered a "tight tolerance" engine back in the day,
but not any more.

For example, look at the tolerances on the V8 SHO.

Au contraire.  The engine (if in good shape) is a tight low tolerance
engine; but there are many oil passages, requiring a high volume flow.
The pressure rise is fairly linear with rpm, until the preset relief
valve opens. Mike
