That has a lot to do with it as well.

It's also interesting to compare CNN with more traditional networks like
NBC and CBS. CNN's reports and "headlines" tend to be so much more
dramatic and accusatory whereas other news affiliates tend to be more
conservative for breaking news. Of course, they want to get their facts
straight (usually) whereas CNN has a huge bias to getting the ratings.
