[Shotimes] hinged door in the floor of the car to get at the fuel pump

On the subject of fuel pumps.  I replaced one yesterday for a customer with
the Walbro 190lph.  Is fuel not an electrical conductor?  It looks like the
wires are all in danger of getting some fuel splashed on them.  This really
freaked me out, even though I was installing the fuel pump in the same
fashion as OEM.  Walbro gives you wires crimps to use.  I opted out of those
and used some waterproof wire nuts instead.  So is fuel a conductor?
