[Shotimes] Hard pedal--No brakes

Do you hear any hissing sounds? (vacuum leak). There are a couple of
vacuum connections on the firewall right above the master cylinder. It
might be the booster or the seal between the booster and the master
cylinder. I had my MC replaced under warranty on my 94 and they didn't
install a new seal. Seal wasn't any good and I nearly died the first
time I needed to stop..I recall plugging one of those vacuum ports with
my finger to trace the source of the leak but I don't recall how or
why..I remember realizing that it was the line for the booster. I
pointed this out to the shop that had replaced the MC.

Just as I got home last night the brakes failed on my '93. The pedal is
hard and does not travel far and the brakes don't grab. Any ideas?
Master cylinder maybe?
