This is a subjective question. I can only offer you my experience. I have
Tokico struts, stock springs, 24/26mm sway bars, poly bushings, strut tower
brace, and lower profile, wider tires. My car handles great, but it's stiff
and doesn't have the soft ride anymore. For me it's fine, but for most, I
don't think it would be, as it is quite rough over bumps.
If you are looking for a bit more stiffness, hang with the stock springs and
grab some tokico's. You'll also be surprised at how much of a difference
new bushings make. (I.E.- subframe, sway bar, strut mounts, etc) Replace
these old worn out bushings with some poly (aluminum on the subframe or gen
III stock on the subframe) and enjoy a car that will feel like new. : )
