Only $500 in body damage?? That had to be a LONG time ago or you ran into
something soft!!

When I did the low-speed "hit" on a 2" tree (that bent way over) at the 2000
Convention, the "visible" body damage was $1,600, and the invisible damage
(condenser, PS and ATX cooler, radiator) were another $1,000. To look at the
pictures of the car, it looks like I only had some paint scraped off the
front bumper!!

That would be me.  I've never totalled a car, a had no SERIOUS accidents, as
in no one was hurt, and it cost less than $500 in body damage...
