[Shotimes] What to do with a dead SHO?

"Green" '90? Is it a repaint? First green SHO was the '91 Plus in late '91.

If it's truly a green '90, what is the paint code on the driver's door jamb?

FWIW, I'll again be in Milwaukee on business Tues-Thurs this coming week, so
if anyone wants me to take a look at it, lemme know.

Subject: [Shotimes] What to do with a dead SHO?

I am looking for suggestions on how to get the maximum
value for my SHO:

It has either bad piston rings or a cracked piston and
scorched cylinder. Either way, it looks as though the
engine will have to been rubuilt. I cannot do this
myself, and the cost of the job is more than the
overall value of the car.

If this were just any car, I would probably just take
it to a junkyard or something like that. However,
since it is a SHO, I thought there might be some
market for the rest of the car.

It is a Green 90 MTX with approximately 140,000 miles.
Aside from the engine, it is in very good shape. The
body is excellent: no dents, one ding in the door, a
small paint scrape on the front bumper. Paint is good.
Tan leather interior is excellent. Premium JBL sound
system with CD player and subwoofer is great. If there
were any way I could reasonably afford to keep it, I
would becasue I really love the car.

I am wondering if somebody who has the time, skills
and equipment to rebuild the enigine would have an
interest in buying it, and, if so, would I get
anything more than I would in the local paper.

And what about parting it out. I realize that there
are probably some parts, such as the interior, panels,
etc..., that are in demand and may not be available
anymore. Could I, with my limited knowledge, sell off
these parts over time and make more money?

I am willing to consider all options. Thank you so
much for all sugeestions.

The car is currently located in Milwaukee, WI, in case
anyone here is interested.
