I really question where the american auto industry is headed.  When I was a
kid, I remember going to a show and seeing the new corvette stingray ('63)
The car evoked a stirring to want to just get in it and drive the hell out
of it.  Nowadays when I see new cars they evoke a desire to just bury them
so nobody elses eyes have to be tortured by them.  to make matters worse,
when one manufacturer produces a car that is totally ugly, all the rest jump
on the bandwagon and try to out-ugly them.  It really kills me that after
the ho-hum performance years of the 70's and 80's, now we are going through
a dog ugly styling phase.  When will the automotive world wake up and make a
vehicle that is both asthetic and performs too?
