If the boots seal to the plugs with no oil seepage up to the connector, chances are
they are still good.  Oil won't damage the inside of the boot (and affect the
connection) if it can't get there.  And after only 30K miles, it didn't really
damage the outside.  

You could have cleaned the wires and reused them.  I guess you already realize that.
